Here, for your enjoyment are some Beatle brain teasers. We were giving away a few Fab Faux pins at our gigs and needed a way to award them to several worthy fans, thus, the "trivia corner" segment of the show was born.

A few of these questions have several correct answers or more, some which are still argued to this day (e.g. "Who played lead guitar on..." etc...). Therefore, we have only included the answers we know (from reliable printed sources) to be correct.

If you know something we don't, by all means (unlike the song) promise to tell....Have fun!

1 - Ringo's family name was Parkin. When his paternal grandmother re-married, to a man named Starkey, her whole family followed suit and changed to that surname.

2 - "Something" peaked at #3 in the US and #4 in the UK. It was tracked separately from its flipside "Come Together"'s chart performance. The earlier "Day Tripper" benefitted from being counted as a collective #1 in the UK with "We Can Work It Out", or it may have missed #1 in both countries, as well. But is anyone going to omit the magnificent "Something" as George Harrison's only entry in the 1 collection? I don't think so.

3 - The Crickets ("fittingly") for their Something Old, Something New, Something Blue, Something Else! LP (January 1963). The duo The Righteous Brothers also sported the collarless look on their Right Now! LP (also 1963.)

4 - a) February 9 1964, 4:30 p.m. Live performance and taping for future 3rd Beatles appearance The Ed Sullivan Show - shown on 2/23/64. The so-called historic "1st" performance (which was really the 2nd) was broadcast live later that evening, at a few minutes after 8:00 p.m.

b) Songs performed: "Twist and Shout", "Please Please Me", "I Want To Hold Your Hand".

5 - a) "Hold Me Tight" was recorded for the Please Please Me LP, but not used. It was subsequently re-recorded later that year for With the Beatles. Unfortunately, the earlier version was almost certainly erased upon its rejection.

b) "Wait" was recorded for the Help! LP, but left unfinished until it was completed later that year for Rubber Soul.

c) "Bad Boy" was also recorded for Help!, but didn't appear on a "standard" (i.e. UK) Beatles album until the compilation A Collection of Beatles Oldies...But Goldies! in December of 1966.

d) "Only a Northern Song" was recorded for Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, but was shelved until it appeared on the Yellow Submarine LP.

6 - So far, it's "Cosmically Conscious", written by Paul in India in 1968, and recorded as the fade-out track (and in a full version on the title song single) for Paul McCartney's Off the Ground LP in 1992. (Thanks, Scott!)

7 - Paul recently revealed (in the Wingspan documentary) that Linda sang the highest background harmony vocal on "Let It Be".

8 - The Beatles' press agent, the late Derek Taylor. "It's something my father used to say" -- as a compliment. It meant he thought of a woman as being "bright" or "on the ball".

9 - a) Elton John's "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" -- singing and guitar on the reggae breakdown;

b) David Bowie's "Across the Universe" - guitar and singing;

c) "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away" by The Silkie --acoustic guitar (with Paul).

10 - "The mysterious Neil Aspinall".
