Carnegie was a great experience and a fun night but the Faux's energy even gave me goose bumps while I was actually playing our number.

It was a very proud moment for me when you all reacted so enthusiastically for us.

Thanks for the nice rp+scc comments too!

Rich, I went to the rehearsal at City Winery on Monday night and was shakin all over afterwards. I chose that show over Carnegie Hall and I think I'm glad i did. To hear you, the Contes, Willie Nile et.al. stretch out with additional originals in such a room was a real privilege. Also, those Postelles were great..glad you included them. Hope you and the Sugarcane Cups become a network houseband for the next late night talking head.

Thanks Tony.

I usually don't like it when people (mess) with the classics, that's why I never went to see a Beatles Tribute band all my life, and with few exceptions hate covers of Beatle songs, (never say never, look at me now), but Patti Smith rocked my world with MY GENERATION (thanks Jack), and I thought that the young band The Gaslight Anthem was a wonderful choice for "Baba O'Riley."

Other highlights for me were (of course) the Sugarcane Cups, I love that Steve Conte,

Willie Nile doing "The Kids Are Alright," and Robyn Hitchcock singing, "Substitute." I like music I can sink my teeth into. Grrr.

But yes, I adore all five of our beloved FAB FAUX (the reason I paid $250.00 for the ticket, altruism notwithstanding), and I relished the opportunity to hear them play something other than Beatles music. Wow!

Will Lee always leaves me breathless, and last night was no exception! Yes Will, we see you, hear you, feel your energy and your love for the music.
'From you, I get the story.'
I wasn't alone: the audience clearly loved the performance, it was a huge success.

I was really getting tired of living in Manhattan, but thanks to these experiences I remember why I came here in the first place.
Lucky me.

Last night's show at Carnegie Hall was interesting and enjoyable.

I think that Raul Midon was phenomenal...and ironic. Wow!

The Smithereens were a lot of fun. Their bass player seemed to have a ball and was almost as animated as Will is normally.

It's hard to believe that I saw Living Colour open for the Stones twenty one years ago at Shea.

Rich,
It was great to see you with your crew and you did a terrific job as the musical director. The first piece with the kids' choir simply joyful.

By the by: the more I hear your cd, the more I like it.

However, I do think that the best should have been saved for last. That should have been the Faux. It would have made sense since you played the last piece on Tommy. You guys were the best part of the show. You played "We're Not Going To Take It" cleanly; "Just so".

I don't doubt that you guys could have played every song done last night to the letter.

I like creative interpretation to a point. Out of respect to the many fine artists that performed last night, I'll stop there.

Thank you for participating. If not, I might not have gone. I wish you guys would have had more playing time. It sounded to me like you guys got the biggest hand last night; deservedly so.

See you at the Bergen Pac.

A wonderful evening last night at Carnegie Hall. There were a couple of clunkers from other performers but the Faux were on fire, and Rich's sugarCane cups turned in stellar work, on stage for much of the night. Stand-outs, for me, included Bettye Lavette, Bobby McFerrin, Raul Midon, Willie Nile, Living Colour, The Gaslight Anthem, Sondre Lerche, surprise guest Patti Smith and ... wow ... Mose Allison himself. Well done, Faux, Take a bow, Rich!

The Fab Faux rocked Carnegie Hall Last Night, with "We're Not Gonna Take It," and
"See me,Feel Me." It was a benefit concert.

Rich also played with the Sugar Cane Cups, and with many other artists in the show, and was the musical director.
Jack killed us on guitar with Patti Smith playing, "My Generation."
At the after party at City Winery the Sugar Cane Cups played to an appreciative audience in elegant surroundings. Thanks to owner Michael Dorf.
